This policy explains what information SchoolICT collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. In short: there is no email wall to read a lesson, a student account is optional and only stores your progress, and the advertising that keeps the site free uses cookies.
🔴 1. Information We Collect
We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the site:
- Account information (optional): if you create a student or teacher account, we store the name and email you provide and the progress you save. You can use most of the site without an account.
- Usage information (automatic): like most websites, our servers and analytics may record basic technical details such as browser type, device, and pages visited, to keep the site working and improve lessons.
- Cookies: small files stored by your browser that support features, remember your language choice, and enable advertising.
🟡 2. Advertising and Google AdSense
SchoolICT is funded by advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this and other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits. SchoolICT is built for students, including school-age learners. We do not knowingly collect more than the basic account details a learner chooses to provide. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child has provided information you would like removed, please contact us and we will remove it.
