Notesසටහන්

A chart shows numbers as a picture so patterns are easy to see. You select the data range (labels + values) and choose Insert → Chart. This note uses Colombo rainfall (Jan–Jun, total 1080 mm), student ICT marks and the shop bill to build column, bar, line and pie charts, and shows which chart fits which data.ප්‍රස්තාරයක් අංක චිත්‍රයක් ලෙස පෙන්වන නිසා රටා පහසුවෙන් පෙනේ. දත්ත පරාසය (labels + අගයන්) තෝරා Insert → Chart තෝරන්න. මෙම සටහන කොළඹ වර්ෂාපතනය (ජන–ජූනි, එකතුව 1080 mm), සිසුන්ගේ ICT ලකුණු සහ කඩ බිල භාවිතයෙන් column, bar, line සහ pie ප්‍රස්තාර සාදා, කුමන දත්තයට කුමන ප්‍රස්තාරය ගැළපේදැයි පෙන්වයි.

1. Making a chart1. ප්‍රස්තාරයක් සෑදීම

Select A1:B7 (month names and rainfall).A1:B7 තෝරන්න (මාස නම් සහ වර්ෂාපතනය).
Excel: Insert → Charts → Column. Calc: Insert → Chart (Chart Wizard). Sheets: Insert → Chart, then Chart editor → Chart type.Excel: Insert → Charts → Column. Calc: Insert → Chart (Chart Wizard). Sheets: Insert → Chart, පසුව Chart editor → Chart type.

2. Column chart2. Column ප්‍රස්තාරය

Column chart: vertical bars compare rainfall in each month. May is highest (392 mm), January lowest (58 mm).Column ප්‍රස්තාරය: සිරස් තීරු එක් එක් මාසයේ වර්ෂාපතනය සසඳයි. මැයි ඉහළම (392 mm), ජනවාරි අඩුම (58 mm).

Bar chart: horizontal bars compare ICT marks; good when labels (names) are long.Bar ප්‍රස්තාරය: තිරස් තීරු ICT ලකුණු සසඳයි; labels (නම්) දිගු විට හොඳයි.

4. Line chart4. Line ප්‍රස්තාරය

Chart title – what the chart shows.Chart title – ප්‍රස්තාරය පෙන්වන දේ.
